1. Do you remember everything on the day of 9/11?
- Yes, Of course. I remember everything perfectly. The tragedy occurred on a Tuesday. The weather was so nice, with clear blue skies. It seemed like nothing could possibly go wrong.
2. Where were you?
- I was on the George Washington Bridge heading to work.
3. What were you doing when you learned of the events that took place on 9/11?
- I was on my way to work. I was on the George Washington Bridge listening to 770 am radio station when someone reported how he just witnessed a plane that flew into the first tower.
4. What was your initial reaction?
- I thought it had to be an accident. I was thinking to my self, "How could this possibly happen". This was surely an uncommon event. Nothing has prepared to believe that we were actually under a terrorist attack.
5. Did that feeling change? When and How?
- Of Course. I was feeling as if the world was going to stop. As the news was unfolding, My feelings were invaded by uncertainty.
6. How do you feel now that ten years have elapsed?
- I still believe that there is nothing that we can do to change what had happen, but as time passes we are hoping that we could be able to ease the pain.
7. What images do you associate with the tragedy?
- All images of that day still remain alive in my memories. However, seeing the first tower collapsing and seeing the plane hit the second tower will forever paint a picture of what occurred on that day.
8. Were you scared on the day of 9/11?
- I don't think there is a way to express that feeling of being so terrified. I truly was scared.
9. How do you feel regarding the relative safety of America today?
- In a way, 9/11 came as a surprise. It was a wake up call to the nation that some people want to inflict pain and suffering to others. 9/11 made us aware of that. As a result, a lot has been accomplished to ensure the safety of each individual with an increase of security protection. In addition, the traveling lifestyle changed. The government took a lot of necessary measures that needed to be done. But as much security we have,
