It is very important to make sure employees are happy. It is going to have them do a better job at work and want to work for the company. It fulfills the goals of hrm because it keeps the turnover rates low and the complaints low. If you are a company that gives nothing but the required benefits than your employees may be content but it won't give them a reason to stay with you instead of going something else if a better opportunity comes along. Also moral has to be very good in the company to keep the employees happy. You can't have a company where moral is down you treat your employees like crap and then expect them to perform well for you, especially if you aren't paying them well.
