1. It is important for human resource to be a strategic partner in the business because the human resource department is the department dealing with the employees on a more frequent basis. The Administration linkage sees the human resource department as "a paperwork function" and a way to deal with the day to day administrative issues. Dealing with those every day issues makes the human resource department familiar with employees and with their issues. For example Frank has been coming in late every Tuesday because his daughter has no other way to school he spoke with the human resource department, however if management wants to terminate Frank because they are unaware of his situation and to them he is simply late. Allowing the human resource department to be a part of the strategic process also aids in the finances. It is said that "Many organizations today recognize that motivating employees also requires a level of respect between management and the workers. This respect can be seen as involving employees in decisions that affect them, listening to employees, and implementing their suggestions where appropriate (Robbins)." When employees feel appreciated it motivates them to become more productive benefitting the company and the employee. This arrangement also benefits the employees working in the human resource department because the organization begins to use the human resource department at a higher level of management in addition
