Summary of Text:

Finding Nemo is a film where a clown fish named Marlin living in the Great Barrier Reef loses his son, Nemo at a school excursion to the open sea. After Marlin's despite warnings about the danger of the sea, Nemo gets taken away by a bunch of divers taken back to a Sydney dentist office. When his son was taken away from him, Marlin goes on a journey to rescue him. Throughout the journey Marlin has his up and downs but in the end he learns how to not be afraid and to let go and believe through humour from Dory.

Journey is defined as a transition, a shift from one place to another. Finding Nemo is linked to the area study because the film shows the Physical journey that Marlin goes on to find his son. During the journey it shows how he has changed from the beginning of the movie to the end mentally and emotionally.

The prescribed text I am David is linked to Finding Nemo through their journey, they traverse around to be reunited with their family member. Another similarity is the protagonists in each movie were taken away from their loved one and gets trapped in a world completely different from the world they are use to. Throughout their long journey the protagonists both learns important things about life, for David he learns how to smile and the use of money. And for Marlin he learns to believe, let go and trust. They both had gone through many obstacles that had made them think about quitting.
