Death Penalty

No, I do not think that it's a price society should be willing to pay, not with some ones life on the line especially if they are innocent. With all the advanced technology that is present today and intensive DNA research, I think that is enough to make sure that a person is innocent before he or she is given the death penalty. 20 - 40 years ago that was not the case with DNA research because technology back then was very poor. We should not be so quick to throw in the death penalty in case to satisfy the victim's family, make sure that all the evidence is there. Hear say and false testimonies has caused a lot of innocent people there life, because once they are dead there is no bringing them back when new evidence has proven their innocence.

How can underdeveloped societies grow economically and develop technologically without causing environmental harm to their own country as well as to other countries?

I do not think that it is possible for underdeveloped countries to grow economically and technologically without causing some type of environmental harm. I believe that they would have to start somewhere being that they are underdeveloped, so cutting down trees, using other natural resources, and harmful gases that will pollute the air will be normal at first. Eventually down the line the country can learn how to become environmentally friendly by using what is around them, like harvesting sunlight (solar power) as the primary source of energy.
