Introduction:
Illegal immigration is a problem that many countries face; People who immigrate illegally are either running away from a hopeless situation at home, or looking for a better life than the one they had before. While illegal immigration may promise a better future for some people, the truth is it entails a lot of dangers and most of the times dreams remain dreams and illegal immigrants never accomplish a better life for themselves or their families. Illegal immigrants face death throughout their journey to the borders and most might think that the dangers end once they cross the borders, however, the truth is when you cross the borders illegally the dangers you face increase. Drug dealers, Kidnappers and Human traders have all established their own underground trade in which an illegal immigrant is considered a treasure chest they can use and exploit basically because no one knows they are inside the country and thus, no one can help them.
The mistreatment of the illegal immigrants:
While authorities in most countries have established a system to fight illegal immigration, a country cannot exactly fight a person’s need to travel away from his own country and thus people continue travelling illegally and countries continue their struggle to prevent causalities from illegal immigration. The laws established in most countries might look to the law-abiding people inside the country as just and fair, while that might be true for the citizens of the country, it`s not true for the immigrants. Some of those laws actually help criminals use illegal immigrants to their needs as the law treats them the same as criminals and prevents most of them from the right to seek help as a victim of a criminal organization.
Immigration and crime have always had a connection to each other. While immigrants might come to a country thinking they`d live by the law of their new home, most end up in a criminal organization somewhere or underground running from the authorities and those who do try to live normally discover the harsh reality as they face different kinds of abuse from their boss or from the people around them. An illegal immigrant has no rights inside his new country and that subjects him or her to a lot of abuse and mistreatment.
Conclusion
Illegal immigration doesn`t provide better opportunities, in fact it endangers lives and causes a lot of pain to the illegal immigrant. People should avoid illegal immigration and stick to their countries if they want to avoid pain and danger. Countries should also find ways to deal with their problems in order to avoid illegal immigration problems.
