While during the 1800's the period of Romanticism began. During this time it focused on nature, emotions such as love, hate and anger. This period have had effect on all forms of art. That art ranges from art painting, story and poetry writing, music and in dance.

During this period there were many poets that used emotion. For example a famous writer that had a very big effect during this time is Nathaniel Hawthrone. Some of his work is "The Haunting Mind", "The Marble Faun", and "The Scarlett Letter." According to C.D. Merriman for Jalic Inc. (2007) Hawthorne explores the ideas of individual responsibility, the importance of creative expression and mans relationship to the natural world.

Some of the composers are Beethoven, Vincenzo Bellini, Eliza Flower and Hector Berlioz.

The romantic era was based on emotions which make sense because romance comes from a feeling that you have from within. I do not believe that romance began here because there is a history of emotions
