Importance on accountability

The question is, why is accountability so important? It is important for many reasons, but lets start off

with the definition of the word. Accountability has various definitions but every definition leads to showing

personal responsibility. Accountability is essential in todays world. Every organization builds itself off keeping

accountability of its own equipment. When it comes to accountability, you'll see both positive and negative

reactions for people. This is because accountability involves responsibility, ethics and often blame and guilt.

Responsibility is taking care of your duties, answering for your actions, accountability and

trustworthiness. Responsibility is important and should be lived by because it is a core value, it shows you take

accountability for your behavior and equipment, and it makes you someone who can be depended on. Good examples of

responsibility is taking good care of your personal possessions. you are where your suppose to be on time, you hold

up to your word and you get your job done when told so. There are steps that i have found online to help build

responsibility. They are as followed. Define your goal. What do you want out of it? Explore all teh choices and

options. Gather intel. Write down arguments for and against each choice. Take time to think through the consequences

of each one. Make a decision. There are also many types of responsibility. Moral, Legal, Family, Community, and

personal. Moral responsibility is caring, defending, helping, building, protecting, preserving and sustaining other

people, animals and even the earth. Legal responsibility is basically just following laws and regulations. Family

responsibility is treating your loved ones with respect and love. Commmunity responsibility is doing your part to

better the community you and others have to live in. Lastly, personal responsibility is taking steps to better

yourself and make you a better person. imrpoving your bad areas, sustaining your good ones and creating morals and

codes to live by.

Ethics, in a nutshell, is doing whats write. I believe that ethis would tie into integrity. Integrity means

doing the right thing at all times even when no ones looking. Very similar in definition. Now, why are ethics so

important? Well ethics are important for all human beings. It is our way of deciding our course of action. Without

ethics, our personal actions would be random and pointless.

Putting responsibility (taking care of your duties, answering for your actions, accountability and

trustworthiness) with ethics (doing what is write) is a good start for being more responsible and accounting for all

equiptment, no matter how important it is. If your responsible and you do what is right at all times then you shall

have no problems what so ever. It is important to take accountability of all equipment in todays world because alot

of people dont have honor or integrity. They will steal to make it through life. If you are accountable for all

equipment that you own and know who has it and who doesnt, you have no worries. If you know the exact location of
