Cutback
In middle of a monetary crisis that has hit the majority of the population any method of saving money is welcome. College students go under a lot of pressure trying to pay for their school fees, buying textbooks and other required supplies. Although financial aid and scholarship are provided to most students they do not cover all the expenses. As a college student I myself can say by fact that one major expense is buying textbooks whose costs occasionally exceed well above three-hundred dollars or more. One solution for this can be buying second hand textbooks from college bookstores or online; while the other option is renting textbooks.
In recent years renting textbooks has become a hot trend among college students. One of the main reasons is that it saves students almost 80% of their total cost of buying textbooks. Although there are various online portals that are offering the same services, I being a very frequent user of these services have selected my top five online portals. Though this time I will be referring to only my three most visited for evaluation. Whenever I choose a website I always keep in mind if they have a nice design, are organized and the content of the site. My top three websites for textbook rental are Chegg.com, Campusbookrentals.com and Bookrenter.com. The aim of each of these websites is help college students save money while offering them cheap textbook rental for affordable prices.
Chegg is well known for being a reasonable and trusted site. Chegg was officially founded in 2005 by Osman Rashid and Aayush Phumbhra, graduates from Iowa state university. I believe that one of the key strategies for the success of Chegg is their awareness of the rapid changes of academic textbooks changes. I believe that one of the key strategies for the success of Chegg is their awareness of the rapid changes of academic textbooks that are occurring in recent years. Because of the frequent updates the homepage changes quite a few times weekly or monthly; As per my last visit I was welcome by their mascot (which is a chick trying to leave the eggshell!) located right next to the search box where one can enter books information such as title, ISBN number, author. Just above the search box there are tabs that lead the navigator to specific categories such as selling textbooks, homework help, e-books or textbooks rental. Each of these categories will lead you to a separate page where one can find clear instructions for the chosen task. All content in Chegg is related to renting or buying textbooks and succeeding in studies. Every page has the same format one can always located the search box on the upper middle side of the site which makes the navigation easier. They Overall Chegg is a must to check out if anyone is interested in renting books and look for extra help in homework as is provide their customer with one of a kind experience that will make you return each semester.
