What makes a Princess for Disney?

Disney films are popular films among children and adults. Almost everyone in the world has seen at least one film of Disney Princess fairy tale. There are nine Princess in total but the first ones are Snow White, Cinderella, Aurora, Ariel. Since the first princess appear in the big screen all of them have the same qualities they are kind; to animals, inner and outer beauty, perfect voice for singing, royal lineage by marriage or born in to, and all of their problems are solved at the end of the film. Disney is portraying all females with the same qualities even though each of them face different problems but they have same qualities and are brain washing young girls that this is the standard their should measure themselves with.

The first princess Snow White is the youngest of all and is in her teens. She is introduced to us as a hard working, quiet and dreamer girl. Her beauty is what made her stepmother jealous of her and the one thing which saved her when she was sent to be killed. In the forest she met seven dwarfs who are men. They taker her in and she helps them by attending to the household needs. After she starts to feel comfortable with the new family, she meets her stepmother disguise herself as a witch and poison her with an apple. At the end a kiss from a prince is what brings her back to life. How is that a after she starts to accept her independence, she needs a man to come and help her. After she is saved she goes on to live with a man she hardly knows. Why couldn't she thank him and continue living with the dwarfs and learned how to survive by herself?

Cinderella looks familiar to Snow White and she also has a stepmother and who treats her poorly. She is a hard working girl and mentally abused by her stepmother and step sisters. She is friendly with animals, and their the only beings she finds solace in. In the movie she goes to a ball and there she meets Prince Charming. She leaves a shoe behind and with this shoe the Prince goes on a quest to find the mystery woman. At the end, the Prince finds her and he marries her. They go on to live in the castle. Again another disney movie portrays the princess needing a prince to help her get out of a difficult situation. In my opinion, having a fairy godmother could have been helped leave her stepmother and stepsisters. Yet, another movie in which the prince comes in and sweeps the girl off the feet.

Disney then decided to portray Aurora a princess with both of her parents different from Cinderella and Snow White. Her parents held a small together christening, and here was promised to Prince Philip. Before she was able to speak, she was already promised to another person. Now in this party, three good fairies present gifts to her, but like always, there must always be a bad person and in this film is Maleficent. She gives Aurora a curse. When Aurora was sixteenth, she prick her finger on a spindle the same way Maleficent said it would happened. Now, she did not die, but she fell in long sleep. The only way she will survive was by a kiss from a true love, and it so happened that it was by the same prince she was promised to. In this film, the female lead is promised to someone and also needs a prince to help her get out from a difficult situation.

A famous princess is Ariel the princess we all know as The Little Mermaid. Her personality is little different from the earlier princess she is adventurous and stubborn. Ariel tale takes place in land and under water. She is the daughter of King Triton and is always dreaming of the world above the water. The first time she meets Prince Eric who lives in land is
