What kinds of documents might one use to study criminal behavior, educational background, a newsperson's political philosophy, and citizens' views of police or court performance?
There is no one specific document that determines the study of criminal behavior. Criminal behavior discusses in itself why individuals commit crime. Throughout research people such as Siegmund Freud and Albert Bandura have their theories regarding why individuals commit crime. Crimes are committed for various reasons. Some crimes are committed for reasons such as pure pleasure, need of money, hatred, and insanity.
Sigmund Freud embraced the pleasure principle. He believed that humans wanted immediate gratification and satisfaction (2013). He believed that if gratification and satisfaction is not acquired legally then it would be sought after illegally (Sigmund Freud, 2013).
Albert Bandura embraced the believe that criminal behavior is learned same as any other biological behavior (2013). In addition, Bandura believes that other observe the behavior of others and decide whether or not to adopt them. (Albert Bandura, 2013)
As a result of inability to use one specific document to study behavior, we must trust in our legal system. It is our criminal justice system that will determine unlawful acts that will be addressed according to previous laws that has been established by our criminal justice system.
