I will not employ the conventional hiring process when it comes to hiring new personnel instead I will utilize a new more unique hiring process that involves hiring people directly for the facility. In simple this process will be fairly simple but very difficult to accomplish. First of all I will run a check to see if the individual's standards and qualifications fall into the criteria that is required of my personnel. I will then start the actual hiring process. Once an individual is hired the pre-employment process begins this includes a background check, safety tests and the necessary security licenses if not already possessed. Getting all the paperwork done and getting all the necessary papers filled out and submitted like the pre-employment background investigations and the needed safety tests will be done. I will then review all the necessary legal documents have them signed submitted to the company which will be guarded as well as my boss.

To start the process of I will review applications I will select any individual who have valid experience in customer service and security experience. The selected individual must also be 21 years of age or older and be able to obtain a guard card and a gun license. It is a plus if the individual have a degree in security or in the process of obtaining a criminal justice degree. Individuals who fall into these perimeters will be called for an interview. Depending on the interviews and who is hired; the hiring process will begin. Once hired the paperwork begins this will include but not be limited to a background check and a physician approved physical. Once the paperwork is completed the individual will take a 3-day class that will consist of several safety tests, the proper training for carrying a weapons, and review of all legal perimeters involving crimes and campus police. Once all of this is completed the individual will be basically hired except they will have to go through at least 40-hours or training to finalize their guard card if it has not already been authorized. At this point I will have my personnel but I will need to establish a valid shift schedule.

Considering that I have to provide 24-hour service protection and am allowed 12 security officers. I have worked out a legitimate schedule to fill all positions and times as well as pick up the campus polices slack if there is any. I believe that it is best to run 10-hour shifts normally 8-hour shift but I needed overlapping shifts to cover the empty space in the time sheet. To make things a bit more stable and well covered there will be a total 3 officers on each shift. I will also follow state law allowing at least two off days for each and every officer unless someone calls off and another officer volunteers to come in their place. I must also abide by lunch break laws allowing one lunch break per 5 hours worked. This is what the basic schedule will look like provided that I have 12 security officers one being an assistant supervisor with a set salary and schedule.
