- E&C Charity Cycling Event (CCE)
Background
Bicycle Sharing has been a new trend worldwide to replace traditional transportations. In many developed countries, bicycle sharing is highly recommended by local governments due to the features of low carbon footprint and healthy lifestyle.
Objective
To create work-life balance culture, E&C Charity Cycling Event, combining the new trend elements and social responsibilities, is the perfect start-point to deliver the message and determination of achieving work-life balance and social contribution to both insiders and outsiders.
Proposed Venue and Date of the Event
From 8:00 am to 11:00 am on 30th November 2017
Event Description
More than 800 E&C staffs and clients will be invited to cycle from the company core office to waterfront. Participants are required to pay a participation fee which will be spent on supporting students in poverty.
- Share Your Journal Programme (SYJ)
Background
With the development of mobile device, mobile application allows users to calculate and record the distance of daily walking journal. In mainland China, teenagers record their daily journal and post on social media, like WeChat, which creates imitation effect eventually encourage millions of teenagers to walk instead of taking public transportation. A new culture which enhances personal health is generated by the power of social media.
Objective
According the E&C internal research, 78% of employees do not have regular exercise habits. Lack of exercise increases the risk of heart diseases and diabetes, which threat the living quality and productivity of the employees. Encouraging employees to develop daily exercise habits can achieve the long-term goals of work-life balance in E&C, fulfilling the requirement of personal healthy life-style.

Programme Description
E&C can provide incentives to their employees to replace transportation with cycling. Bicycle is defined as a transportation option for the 1 to 3 km journal by the Hong Kong government. With the support of IT department, employees are encouraged to record their daily journal distance and share the record with colleagues. Employees with particular distance will be rewarded with extra bonus or holiday as a gift for supporting the work-life balance culture in E&C.
