Cosmopolitan is a popular international magazine for women. Published in 13 different countries, printed in 35 different languages and having 64 editions worldwide, it has successfully become the largest selling young womens magazine in the world. Originally a family magazine in 1886 from America, the successful magazine has expanded to 100 countries and is extremely popular in the UK especially, and has been the best selling magazine for decades. As part of the Hearst Magazine group, Cosmopolitan is estimated to sell 20 million per month and its vastly expanding. The magazine publishes topics such as Life, Relationships, Fashion, Sex and Beauty every month and also includes many competitions, blogs, quizzes, a dating service and many featured awards that the magazine organises through the readers choice. The magazine has acted as an important agent of social change, encouraging women to pursue their wants in all aspects of life, both sexual and professional. The bright vibrant front cover features a A-list female celebrity modelling with attention grabbing headlines, exclusive stories and high street fashion tips and advertises popular beauty brands which markets to most young females in the UK. Although the magazine has had many criticisms on its explicit articles and sexual content, it still stands to be the most dynamic magazine brand in the world today.
