It is very important to send out the correct message when sending out a memo. Memos are to keep people aware of what is going to happen or what is happening in their business. The memo needs to be very professional and when sending out to co-workers so they know it is a serious memo.

The accounting memo from Andrew Accountant does not clearly state the problem; instead he states the possible problem and asks the individuals to do research on the LIFO (Last In/First Out) and the FIFO (First in/First Out) of the business. It was not formal throughout the entire memo, at the end of the memo it looked more like a conversation than a memo trying to get out a message straight to the teammate/s. One thing the accounting memo is missing is a contact number to contact Andrew Accountant with any questions. Although most teammates will know how to contact him he should put the contact information in there in case the teammate has lost it and no way to contact him back.

The memo can capture the audience's attention if they understand the LIFO and FIFO, but if they do not understand these than it will not capture their attention or they could be lost. It is very important to make sure you are spelling out the words instead of using the LIFO or FIFO. If the audience does not know those jargons than they have to go to the top of the memo every time they see the jargon. The main thing that can throw the audience off is whether the message is professional or not, considering the message is more of a conversation at the bottom.

In the accounting memo, they did not directly state the problem but they did do a decent job of explaining what the problem is and ways that they can solve it. Overall I think the message was sent good with the memo and the teammate/s will be able to understand what they need to research and bring with them to the meeting and how their business has been doing.
