My name is Isabella and I will be your training coordinator through the first part of this course. My job is to oversee your training in the areas of the Internet, computer workstation basics, keyboarding, and basic word processing techniques. Upon successful completion of this training, you will become an Intern for Online Communications, Inc. where you will plan vacations, business trips, book concerts, and reserve hotels and restaurants. You will also have the opportunity to develop time management, spreadsheet and communication skills while working from your own computer. This course is designed to provide a basic overview of current business and information systems and trends and to introduce students to the basic skills required for today's business environment. Emphasis is placed on developing proficiency with the fundamental computer applications of keyboarding and word processing so they may be used as communication tools for enhancing personal and workplace proficiency in an information based society. Introductory training in the Microsoft Office suite of programs will be offered.
