The purpose of this comparison matrix paper is to show a contrast of the three different articles related to leadership. The first article discusses transformational leadership in the public sector. The second article compares the effect of transactional versus transformational leadership styles and how dedicated the employees are to their organization, and the last article compares the experiences of five African American Urban Teacher Leaders. The first two articles are comparing how a work environment either transformational or transactional affects the employees and their overall job satisfaction. The last article takes on a different approach which is how five African American women excelled in their urban education to become either teacher leaders or an administrator.

The first article by Wright and Pandey had five research questions all of which led back to the practice of transformational leadership behaviors that became higher, or lower. These different levels of leadership behavior dealt with hierarchy organizational authority structure, weaker upward communication in the association, greater organizational formalization, how the organization's structure obstructs the creation of extrinsic reward performance occurrences, and the use of organizational performance measures (Wright and Pandey, 2010). For Emery and Barker, the sample population consisted of 77 Branch managers from 3 regional banking organizations and 47 different store managers from a national food chain. The sample population included 292 responses from tellers, and 97 responses from the checkers (Emery and Barker, 2007). The last sample population, completed by Watson, was five African American women between the ages of 27-33 with 2-5 years of educational experience (Watson, 2007).
There were different limitations for each of the articles that were studied. Wright and Pandey had a limitation that included the average age of the respondents were mostly Caucasian and over the age of 50. Many of these jurisdictions had only 3 respondents and that doesn't necessarily represent the opinions of other direct
