There's a huge question going around in college sports. Do you know what that question is? There's no need to guess it any longer, I will be glad to tell you. The question is should college athletes get paid just like the pros? What's your opinion on this issue? If you ask me, mine is absolutely 100% yes! College athletes should get paid because it gives them something to work for, and teaches responsibility.
I have many reasons and details of to why I do think college athletes should get paid. I could honestly go on and on about why they should, but that's beside the point. My number one reason is that college athletes work themselves far too hard. Not only does this apply to their playing field or court, but I'm talking about in the classrooms too! If anything that alone should be the deal breaker right there. They have to keep up their grades and keep up with whatever sport they have themselves involved in.
Another reason I believe college athletes should get paid is because they do the exact same thing the pros do. They play basketball, soccer, football, etc just like the pros and in some cases maybe a little better. What makes the pros so different from college athletes? In my opinion they're all the exact same and should get the same rewards and benefits. They should at least get a chance to receive a pay check and prove themselves.
Also, college athletes could use the money for loans and student debts, food, and to survive on campus. Putting money in their pockets will not harm them, I think it would be helping them out. If the school campus gets to make money off of them why can't they be included in the benefits? If it wasn't for the athletes the campuses would not be making as much money as they have now! That just isn't right in my perspective.
