Code of ethics

  1. Relating to the employees

The company pledge to treat all employees on a fair and equal basis. All employees will receive the legally mandated minimum wages and staffs benefits such as leave periods, overtime pay, and 30% staff discount upon confirmation.

As an employee of the company, all employees must comply with the following requirements of the company.

  • In performing their job duties, employees should always act lawfully ethically and in the best interests of BookBank. They must always present the company in an honest and forthright manner by not engaging in any unfair, deceptive or misleading practices (For instance, offer, promise or provide anything to a customer or supplier in exchange for an inappropriate advantage for the company);
  • Every employees must demonstrate basic respect for other employees, customers and suppliers by respecting their privacy, and treating them fairly regardless of status or other factors;
  • Employees must handle person data responsibly and in compliance with all applicable privacy laws;
  • Employees must report to work in a condition to perform their duties, free from the influence of illegal drugs or alcohol
  • Employees are expected to do his or her utmost to create a respectful workplace culture that is free of harassment, intimidation, bias and unlawful discrimination of any kind.
  • Employees are to ensure the accuracy of the company business and financial records such as time records, expense reports and submissions such as benefits claim forms and resumes;
  • Employees must not misuse company’s assets or information for personal benefit or the benefit of anyone other than the company (e.g. for outside businesses or illegal activities)
  1. Relating to Customers and the Community

The company promise to uphold its guarantee to all customers and the community that we will:

  • Be honest and transparent by not deliberately giving inadequate or misleading descriptions of our products.
  • Efficiently respond to any queries and resolve any disputes competently and fairly by hearing the customers out patiently and thoroughly;
  • Give prompt consideration to all feedback on our service and we aim to provide a high level of customer service at all times.  
  • Constantly strive to participate and render help to the local community and the environment within our constraints. We are committed to doing our business in a way that is environmentally friendly
