Ms. Martinez and Class,
I want to share with you a little bit about my life and the things I have done throughout it. I have worked for many years as an anti-terrorist. For my job, we work to try and stop the real terrorists that are a threat to our country. There are often times casualties along the way but we are stopping a real criminal. Some people argue that it shouldn’t be at the expense of other innocent lives to stop crime or a terrorist but that is where the people of my profession and I argue back that we save a lot more lives than are lost.
Our main goal is to keep the American citizens as a whole safe from terrorists and the people who despise America and are looking to destroy it. It is brought to our attention that we can only do the job we do because it is justified by the government that it is what we need, but as citizens of this great country, with the freedom we receive, shouldn’t we want the safety and the people seeking to take us down be given the justice that they deserve?
I received the list of questions you sent me and I am more than willing to answer them for you. Your first question was, “Considering your job, have you committed crimes that most regular citizens could get serious time in jail or other consequences for?”, my answer for that is yes, but because it was duty as a member and trained agent for the CIA, and because I was given special orders to do those actions it isn’t a crime. We are able to do the things we need to, to keep the people of our country safe.
“What are your feelings towards the orders you receive knowing that some innocent people could get injured or killed by being a bystander?” To me I think it is important to keep as many people safe as we can. If taking out one person and injuring a few innocent people could potentially prohibit or impede future mass terrorist attacks and save many more people, I think it is okay. It is really hard to know that people with lives and families have been killed because of some of the things we have done, but it is also makes me at ease to know that we have helped the safety of this country.
“Why can’t you do your job in a more private setting or just make it so it isn’t right out in the open that you are trying to take a terrorist or dangerous person down?”
We do our best to keep the American citizens away from and blind from the time we are needing to preform an order, but when we see opportunities we often want to take them.
“Do you think that because you work for the government your actions are justified?”
Many people believe this and we are often times looked badly at because of this but I don’t think that we are. I believe that if we are doing something for the safety of the people as a whole, then we are doing something that is right.
“It is a crime to cover up a criminal
