Many people refer to capital punishment as death penalty to those that have inflicted any harm and death to a person.

People have agreed to the death penalty as punishment to those that have taken someone life because of joy or satisfaction. Many believe that the death penalty violates people's rights even though a person has committed a crime and brought sorrow into someone life. Capital punishment is a touchy subject to many people and painful to families that have family members waiting for the death penalty.

During the Presidential election capital punishment was one of many laws that people had to vote for to keep or revoke. But towards the end the death penalty stayed in tack and probably many who voted to revoke the death penalty were furious. I do understand that many hope for this law to go away in hopes that people waiting in line for the death penalty could get another chance.

In my own personal opinion people that have killed in cold blood deserve death with no remorse. I know that maybe they should just rot in prison with no chance of parole till they get old, because giving them the death penalty is there easiest ticket out. But what worries me the most and I do think about is on how many people are incarcerated and get put in death row, which could potentially be innocent.

Some people don't have the money to get an attorney to defend them and later on are charge for some big crime.

What's really sad is that many offenders that have strikes are in big danger of being put in the death penalty for some small crime that he or she has committed. Many inmates that probably are already serving life in prison sometimes like to punish and provoke other inmates to do things that could potentially affect them in the long run.

I also wonder if people that are on board with capital punishment would change their mind if a family member commits a violent crime and kills someone. Would they then change their mind when it comes to revoking capital punishment? Yes I know that capital punishment should be implemented to those crazy mentally ill people that commit crimes.

But what about to those that get the death penalty for killing someone while trying to save their own life. What happens to those people that took someone life because they were afraid of their life and that was the only option to save their own life? The truth is that that innocent person that killed someone in self-defense still committed a crime and took someone life. And now some family is mourning there son or daughters life because of some stupidity that he or she did, while trying to scare, robbed
