Campaign Contributions Are out of Hand. Unless We Do Something Meaningful About Them, They Will Corrupt and Ruin the Republic

Have you ever think of that corruption begins with election? Today corruption has struck all the state power, linking them into a single machine, which is interested in multiplication of their own well-being only. And the most dangerous corruption connects with the election campaign, as it begets subsequent variety of corruption.

In this year a new cycle of election began in Russia, and it will lead to new serious offences. Beyond a shadow of a doubt some new campaign contributions scheme were developed and allow person concerned to use their financial opportunities to subject state power to their influence. Today we can easily say what kind of business stands for each of candidate. And if still 5 or 10 years ago financial lobbyist remained in the shadows, in resent years they aspired to come into power, using their financial resources and protection of top-level officials.

Methods of campaign corruption are well-known and widely-used. This could be an assignment of print media and airtime in priority basis, bribery, administrative pressure and other special techniques. And all these methods are the way to deceive us, me and you. Would you like to be deceived?

Than don't be indifferent! We allow to be misled. We give up hopeless and take this situation as a matter of course. According to statistics 21% of voters, 22% of experts and 18% of candidates answer in the affirmative to the question if it is possible to root out a corruption from the Russian election campaign. The absolute majority of the respondents believe that corruption in our country is ineradicable and will exist as long as the state does. And though I hold with those who think this way, I believe we can take measures to minimize corruption in election campaign. We are expected to be politically and socially active, so I think it's high time to begin.
