I don't want to work in a place where the only things the employees care about are themselves and money. No. I want to work in a business or firm where the customers happiness is what really matters, and the employees are happy to do their jobs and work for the betterment of that person.
Like most people in the class, my major, and future, are very much so involved in business, but most specifically, accounting. I've enjoyed accounting ever since I took it for the first time my senior year of high school. Despite the enjoyment I get, I'm still not sure exactly what part of accounting I want to be in, whether it is taxes, auditing, or even teaching. With all these choices though, I'm beginning to lean towards working for a firm.
I've talked to my mother (who is also getting her masters in accounting) for many hours about firms and have also spent time looking up big firms websites. Now, I have this certain kind of work ethic where I enjoy working hard FOR someone and accomplishing the task put before me to satisfy, not only the customer, but also my boss. I also like to work for the team. Striving for the betterment of teammates, as well as the team and succeeding is one the most fulfilling feelings in the world. When I first got on their website I felt a certain kind of friendliness and caring. The motto the firm goes by, which is placed right below their name, is, "Confidence Through Clarity." This to me, not only from the standpoint of a student, but also from the standpoint of a potential employee or customer, shows perfectionism in their work. I am a huge perfectionist, and I would love to surround myself with coworkers who feel the same and won't settle for anything less than one-hundred percent on the work they enjoy doing. I also see a company who works for the customer so that the customer will come out on top and be happy with the service that was performed for them. Lastly, I see confidence. I See a company who has a little "swag" or strut with their good track record and isn't afraid to let people know. They are very proud of what they do and how well they do it and that demands a certain amount of respect, and I sure do like that because I'm exactly the same way.
The base their customer service off of their client service commitment which just blew me away. It has just five parts. The first is Connection. They find it paramount that the employees connect with the customer, so the employees listen, give feedback
