Classification of Break Dancing
Whenever you go on the subway or outside in the streets, you see people do a certain type of dance calledbreakdancing.Breakdancing is a dance style that requires a lot of skills. When you are learning how to breakdance, use a smooth surface. It started in the late 1950s in the USA,when people just started dancing to hip hop and rockmusic. Breakdancing comes from many different moves like Martial Arts, Gymnastics, Brazilian Frevo, and many more. By the 1990s, breakdancing became popular throughout the USA. There are many different kinds of moves that you can do in breakdancing. There are power moves, end moves, foot work, and many others. When starting break dance, foot work has to be learned first before being able to do power moves and end moves.
When you are starting break dancing, the majority of people would just start with the basic which is footwork. Footwork is very important because you do not want to fall or mess up your routine in breakdancing.Toprock is a type of foot work used for beginners and used as a starting routine for expert break dancers. Top rock consists of at least two to ten steps. There are many patterns in toprock, and you can even create your own top rock. My favorite type of foot work is top rock. The reason is I like to create my own top rock and it the simplest type of foot work. The move I do not like is the coffee grinder, which is a foot work move when you spin your leg in a circle and jump over it with your other leg. The reason I do not like that move is very tiring.
People use footwork to follow the beat and get in rhythm with the music. Kicks, spins and shuffles are also important in breakdancing foot work. When doing foot work, try to get in rhythm with the music. That way your routine looks great.Without footwork, breakdancing would fall apart and other styles of it would not be the same.Foot work can also be used as a whole routine as a beginner. When I started break dancing, my whole routine would only be foot work. When you know some foot work, go on and try the next moves, which are the end moves.
End moves are moves used to end a breakdancing routine. Moves such as freezes, suicide moves, and others are used as an end move. Freezes can be like baby freeze, air chair, hand stand, head stand, and others.Freezes are moves that you hold in a position for a few seconds. Sometime break dancers can be very creative with freezes. They add some touches to it like jumping after freezing in a certain position. When I do a freeze, it usually requires my arm and body strength. The reason is that many freezes require you to hold yourself with your arms in a certain position. My favorite freeze is the air chair because air chair is a great freeze and it a great move that can amuse the audience. The hollow back is a freeze that I dislike because it hurts your shoulder when you do a hand stand and lean your body a little.
