BLUE BACK
They are a multiple character to choose from as a villain in Blueback but it’s appears that Costello is the main villain. This can be seen when Dora commented “he’s a hard case.” (Chapter 7 page 66). Evidence of this is found when Dora said “It’s not just Blue Back I’m worried about, it’s the whole bay. People say he takes everything he sees.”(Chapter 7 page 66). This is demonstrated by Dora, she again commented “he’s a hard case, Able. He’s a vicious man.” (Chapter 7 page 73). An example of this occurs at the moment when Tim Winton describe Costello’s boat “The deck of Costello’s boat was awash with blood.” and the other sentence is “Fish lay in huge slippery mounds ad so many of them were under-sized.”(Chapter 7 page 75). An examples of this occurs when again Tim Winton describe Costello’s boat “Behind the steering console stood crates of writhing abalone and a box of illegal crayfish.”(Chapter 7 page 75). One example of this example of this is Able’s thought “It would have thrilling to come face to face with a real life villain.”(Chapter 8 page 86).
When Dora commented “he’s a hard case.” It obviously indicates that for sure Costello is not a good person. “It’s not just Blueback I’m worried about.” “It’s the whole bay. People say he takes everything he sees.” According to what Dora said it illustrates that Costello is not a very greedy and a very selfish person. This shows us that he’s a villain when a gain Dora commented “he’s a hard case, Able. Ge’s a vicious man.” The key word is vicious, if Costello is a good guy but in this case he is nowhere near the word good, Dora wouldn’t called him vicious. It explains it all that Costello is a villain when Tim Winton describe Costello’s boat as I’ve already mention before in topic sentence. Greedy, selfish, vicious, only cares about money and do illegal business all these words are the best describing word for Costello. This gives us a crystal clear understanding when Able’s thinking to himself about Costello which again I have already mention this in my topic sentence.
Based on the evidence and the explanation it appears that Costello is definitely a real villain in Blueback therefore Costello is a villain.
