We believe the approach that Blanka Transport Inc. (BTI) has finally taken is in right direction. But we would also like to add few with them which add value to their company. If we consider it as a project and if we categorize it as "Project to improve Products, Services and Organizational Processes", firstly we have to analyze challenages and the project parameters to overcome the challenages.

The Parameters are as follows:

Goal: Need to define what is the goal of the project. How it will contribute for the company's revenue generation, service level, customer satisfaction, sales.

Cost: What is the cost involved for the complition of the project and What is the ROI.

Time: Time frame for the complition of the project and its justification.

Uniqueness : How unique the solution is and how long it can give a compitaive edge to BTI.

Challenges/ cause of the Route imbalance:

* Trade imbalances: Because of the dynamics of the market BTI couldn't access the demand of the market as accurate as required hence this imbalance of the trade occurred. They tried with incentive programs and inventory management but didn't click.

* Not accessing the demand period: According to the case study BTI couldn't access the period in the year where the demand going up thus it was difficult for them to prepare for them for support additional demand and maximize profit. Because like all business the resource are definite and the forecast is always in place.

* Revenue generation: The revenue generation was not as forecasted as they couldn't analyze the demand trend. There were two important factor effecting the business as not being able to analyze the demand based on

1. Geographic location

2. Season

* Leasing costs: Like other Shipping company BTI didn't have all owned ships/vehicles thus in many cases their resources was un-utilized which significantly hamper their ROI and expected BEP (Break even Point)

Project Management Strategies to overcome the problem:

* Identify the core competency of BTI

* Analyze the SWOT of BTI

* Form project management team with coordination of Management, Sales and Route Management Team

* Finalize the project time line to find the best solution

* Prepare a strategic plan for next 5 years and evaluate yearly
