In today's society, language is a very important aspect to our multicultural society. It creates a melting pot of cultures and gives us an in depth at different cultures. Being bilingual or having knowledge of different languages opens up our opportunities of a great life.

Has a positive effect on intellectual growth. Enriches and enhances mental development. Leaves students with more flexibility in thinking, greater sensitivity to language, and a better ear for listening. Improves understanding of other native language.

The first benefit of being bilingual is that it gives you a bigger chance of finding a job. The advantage of knowing more than one language can land you a good job anywhere, for companies are looking for candidates with that feature. If there are two job candidates, the person with the bilingual skill will land the job most certainly. Multilingual skills will definitely continue to give job seekers an edge in the years to come. Most employers consider employees with foreign language skills to be an asset and give preference to job candidates who possess foreign language skills.

Being bilingual not only gets you the job, but also can give you a better pay. This is because since most companies can't get skilled bilinguals they want, therefore making them hire two people, one for certain skill and the other a bilingual partner.
