BEHAVIOUR STYLES
Aggressive, Submissive, Assertive.
I lean towards assertive behavior most of the time, I have had tendency in my past to be submissive. However I have found that this is not healthy for me with boundaries, self worth and self esteem issues. I find I use assertive behavior the most these days
Purpose for using Assertivernss
I use assertive ness because, I gain when I use it, my needs are met, others can see real me
I find that Im healthier and happier when I remain authentic to these needs>
I find that I have self worth and others respect me more for my honety
What happens to others when I'm assertive?.
When I practice assertiveness I have experiences that it effects others in a myriad of ways,
It can trigger others into fits of rage; it can cause others to avoid my truth, reactivity, growth
It builds self worth and self esteem.
PRACTISE BEING ASSERIVE WITH ANOTHER PERSON
Brief description of the scenario.
An old friend is harrasimg my on the phone with draining, annoying lenghtly calls, sometimes
up to 1 hour a day, I have let this happen and need it to stop?

What happened when I applied assertiveness?
I pracistised being assertive in the next phone call, stating my needs, identifying the needs of my friend, I set boundaries with my friend, Chris reacted , abused me, threatened me.
Told me I was selfish and did no longer want a freinship with me.
knowledge from the experience
When I identify my needs and challenge my fears, I grow and my self worth rises.
When I don't listen to my needs and reamin submissive I let people walk all over me.
