For a manager, a high level of diversity group is better than a similar group.

The earlier legislation of equal opportunity is fined in 1980s (Burrington 1990). To address the issues of equal pay, race and age discrimination and others equal opportunity, management of diversity was emerged and became a derivative instrument product in different business industry for supporting the progression of equal opportunity law generally (Gore, 2009; Teicher, 1996). Diversity management can define as different background people work in a same place. The element of diversity is tangible and intangible which included age, sex, personality, religion, language, work ability and nationality. All of their talents and experience are valued and they can create innovative idea to achieve organization goals (Accor, 2011; Kandola and Fullerton, 1994; Starwood, 2011)

Aside from equal opportunity issues, Gröschl ( 2011) mention that dramatic demographic changed in the population is another reason for organization focus more on diversity management. E.g. Labour shortage in hospitality industry and aging population issues in Europe and Asia (Barrows and Powers, 2008). Younger people keep studying and seeking for higher education level, therefore manger has to looking for older worker to replace vacancy (ASDA, 2006; Magd, 2003). Moreover, many companies designed to develop their business over the world, especially hotel industry. Due to the internationalization reason hotel groups are more concern on management of diversity issues to improve company image and increase corporate social responsibility (Gröschl, 2011).

In terms of company, diversity can bring lots of benefits and advantages for an organization to run business and become internationalization (Browaeys 2008). In addition, Gröschl (2011) said that in USA many company use diversity management as a competitive tool to manage diversity workforce. Diversity is not only improving quality of productivity but also reduce the costs of turnover and lawsuits. Furthermore, Roberson and Kulik (2007) mention diversity management is a trends and an opportunity for organization to hire diversity people and give unique experiences, creative ideas and points of view, also able to achieve diverse customer's needs and wants.

Nowadays, many organizations explores that diversity management is a core business and play a strategic role to enhance their quality service and business return. If an organization rich in diversity of people, their knowledge and perspectives can bring more method, more insightful thinking to tackle the problems than similar groups (Gröschl 2011). Whatever is non-hospitality organization such as IBM (IBM, 2011), L'Oréal (L'Oréal, 2011) and JP Morgan (JP Morgan, 2011) or hospitality organizations like Accor (Accor, 2011), Hyatt Hotels (Hyatt Hotels, 2011), Starwood Hotels (Starwood Hotels, 2011) and Intercontinental Hotels (Intercontinental Hotels, 2011). They put a lot of afford to show their awareness on diversity aspect in their website to build a good image for their company. (E.g. corporate social responsibility (CSR) and good corporate citizenship). In order to attracting new market and give a good reputation to public and stronger their branding in the market. CIPD (2007) discuss some benefits of management diversity for business
