Chair

A chair is an invention that has been around for thousands of years and that was contrived for sitting. Its simple design allows a person to easily manufactured it and reproduce thousands of chairs at a time. Most people use chairs without much regard to the design and how effectively a chair works. The medium most people use to build a chair is wood, plastic and a form of metal.          Chairs can have elaborate designs meant for royalty or be a basic chair just for sitting down in a park. Most people ignore the unity of a chair and how the composition of the chair is done well. Most chairs have four identical legs with a back that supports a person’s back while sitting. The backs of some chairs have elaborate designs that have no purpose and do not add to the effectiveness of the chair. Some chairs like a thrown room chair in France’s palace in Versailles have the elaborate designs for the backs of chairs that are just meant to look beautiful and in the time period the chairs were designed to show power and wealth. Most chairs even today have the same aspect or perspective by having elaborate arms, legs or backs of the chairs that make the chairs unique and beautiful. The constellation is that they have no impact or usefulness for the chair itself because it does not help the function of sitting by having a designed back, legs or arms.

There are several different types of chairs and the scale of each chair can be different. The desk chair is one of the most commonly used chairs and its design allows a person to be able to sit at a desk doing work for several hours at a time. A desk chair has a current style to allow a person to sit for several hours at a time without extreme back pain and pain in your rear or gluteus maximus. A good desk chair has a special type of padding for your gluteus maximus as well as back support for a person’s lower back. A curved back to a chair with padding would add to the effectiveness of the desk chair because it would make sitting for several hours more comfortable for that person. Also a padding for the bottom of the chair would add to the effectiveness because it would allow the person to enjoy sitting in his or her desk chair for longer periods of time with little to no pain. The back of a chair is not needed to sit but does add to the effectiveness of the chair. Also if a person looks at a chair with arms that person could say that arms on a chair do not add or help with the function of sitting. The arms on a chair make sitting more comfortable for a person’s arms and allows the arms to be able to rest in a comfortable position. This may not add to the effectiveness of sitting but does add to the idea of sitting comfortably.

 People ignore how well designed a chair is and how a person use different types of chairs every day. The layout of a chair has been around for millenniums and will be around for more years to come. Every day a person sits down and the chair that person uses depends on the activity that person is performing. A chair is an important aspect of life and is commonly used in everyday life.
