* Definition of the Project Scope Remington Peckinpaw Davis has had a recent issue with internet customer-satisfaction. The online shoppers have experienced Internet lag when opening accounts, spasmodic, and irregular trade confirmations as well as tracking and recording errors in customer accounts. The organizations Internet program needs a defined scope. The scope must be defined to ensure that online customers are receiving the benefits relevant in the programs plan. Defining the project scope sets the stage for developing a project plan. Project scope is a definition of the result or mission of your project--a product or service for our client/customer. The primary purpose is to define as clearly as possible the deliverable(s) for the end user and to focus project plans," (Gray & Larson, 2005, p. 100).

* Structuring Project Management Noticeable deficiencies lie within the process flow of the organizations strategic program process. Structure is needed in the process to allow introduction and implementation of project objectives. Developing a new project management system, which consists of a solid structure, the organization can obtain insight on the management of the online resource.

Project Management Structures

"Provides a framework for launching and implementing project activities within a parent organization. A good system appropriately balances the needs of both the parent organization and the project by defining the interface between the project and parent organization in terms of authority, allocation of resources, and eventual integration of project outcomes into mainstream operations," (Gray & Larson, 2005, p. 55).

* Establishment of Project Priorities The project management team has not determined final project priorities for the online program. With potential of moving forward and expanding the online program, the organization must prioritize key factors and elements of the program.

They need to have a candid discussion with the project customer and upper management to establish the relative importance of each criterion," (Gray & Larson, 2005, p. 103).

* Resource Scheduling The organizations current scheduling appears to be failing the online program. The online team needs to develop a schedule that allows the organization to employ all resources such as staffing, scheduling, and budgeting.
