In the present time,public debate has been going on whether we should use animals to develop new medicines.Some people argue that it is unethical and should be outlawed while others think that animal testing is necessary and it can save peoples' lives.Personally,I am in favor of the latter one.

There are reasons for some people to believe that the animals can be used in medical testings.First of all,animal testings can save more peoples' lives.For example,when we develop a new medicine,we need to test before it can be used.If we do not test on animals and give the drugs to people,it will bring about many problems even death. Moreover,we use white rats for experiments as usual and this kind of animal grow fastly and easily.Also white rats' genes are similar to human beings.So the animal is suitable for medical testings.Lastly,we have no choice but use animals for testings.Maybe after several years we can find another substitute goods instead of animals.

Admittedly,it is cruel to test on animals.Obviously,animals also have feelings.They do not deserve to die.Even so,it is more important to save peoples' lives.Besides,if animals can be used as food,such as beef,chicken,pork,why can not they be used for testings.Either food or medicines are vital.

In summary,I would concede that it is necessary to develop new medicines with specific animals.But we should forbid hurting animals for other purposes.
