The story takes place on a farm in England. The story is told in third person. It starts when the oldest pig on the farm, Old Major, calls all animals to a secret meeting. He tells them about his dream of a revolution against the cruel Mr Jones. He announces that he may die soon. Old Major tells the animals that human beings are the sole reason that "No animal in England is free" and that "The life of an animal is misery and slavery." And that the animals must take charge of their destiny by creating a rebellion to mans. Three days later old Major dies, Pigs are considered the most intelligent animals.
Napoleon is big, and he isn't a good speaker. Snowball is a better speaker; he wants to educate every animal in the farm. When old major dies snowball, napoleon and squealer became the leader of the rebellion. Mr. Jones the owner of the farm, he passed out because he was drunk and he forgot to feed, so the animals made a rebel. They were upset because they were very hungry, so they started breaking into the store. Snowball changed the name of the farm to animal farm and he said that there were seven commandments to form the basic of animalism that were whatever goes upon two legs is an enemy, whatever goes upon four legs, or has wings, is a friend, no animal should wear clothes, no animal should sleep in bed, no animal should drink alcohol, no animal should kill any other animal and all animals are equal.
In the farm every animal works according to their ability and gets the share of food they need. Every Sunday snowball and napoleon lead a meeting of all the animals in the farm, the pigs were the most intelligent animals so they started thinking about the resolution for the other animals to debate about it. When summer arrived snowball and napoleon spread he news about the rebellion across England. All the animals started rebelling with their owners, and they started singing beast of England. They started singing this song because it was a way of freedom, no more human rules.
Napoleon started opposing on everything that snowball did, why? Because the animals in the farm were not so smart to learn the seven commandments, so they summarize the commandments to "four legs good, two legs bad". And because snowball had an idea of building a windmill and napoleon didn't like it. Napoleon tells de dogs, which was the dogs he trained, to chase snowball and told all the animals that snowball is a bad influence, so all the leadership on the farm stays with him. Then napoleon send squealer to tell the animals of the farm that snowball had the best intentions in his heart. So as time went forward the pigs had much control aver the animals on the farm.
