An unexpected adventure in Philippine!
My flight to school is delayed. I have to transfer for 2 times and one delay will stop me from arriving on time. I almost cried when I knew that my second flight has already departure because I thought I would spent the night in the cold airport after arriving in Manila, Philippine. What could I do with this tough situation? Nothing but praying.
Finally I landed on Manila Ninoy Aquino International Airport, exhaustedly. I was ready for a horrible night spending on the floor of the airport, but the officer told that they have already arranged the hotel, the flight next night and, I GOT THE TEMPORARY VISA FOR PHILIPPINE, which is to say, I got the chance to visit Manila, the capital of Philippine before leaving. OH MY LADY GAGA!!! It was really a surprise. I have heard that Philippine is a beautiful country and I always feel pity because I was just a transferor and cannot see the appealing view of this famous Southeast Asian country, but this time, dream comes true.
Manila city remains its post-colonial features. Spanish style statues, fountains and churches are everywhere. The streets are not so clean but exotic - tropical trees stand neatly in row along the road and the sea is in the air. For all my luggages were at the airport, I was not able to take some picture with my own camera. However, the picture from Wikipedia is even clearer. I found some pictures in order to show you the beauty of Manila, but it is better for you to see the view yourselves and surly you will like this place.
Isn't that awesome!? Obviously that Manila is a fascinating city. However, homeless people can be seen almost everywhere and I was totally shocked when a homeless man jumped out and asked for money. Probably the situation gets even worse at night. Security is always a problem for travelers who go alone. BE CAREFUL ALL THE TIME!!
Now I am still in the lobby of the hotel waiting for the shuttle to take me to the airport. Anyway this bonus trip taught me a lesson: Everything will be fine in the end. If not, it is not the end. The delay of my flight may cause some problem (hope I won't bring too many difficulties to my school), but this experience in Manila is really precious.
