An Inconvenient Truth

This was a documentary presented by former Vice President, Al Gore. We have a climate crisis. The truth of the film's title is global warming. The inconvenient part of this movie is that so many corporations make money out of carbon dioxide and fossil fuels that are destroying our environment. "This is not a political issue so much as a moral issue" (Al Gore).

It starts off with Al Gore addressing himself as the ex-president of the United States of America, a light hearted joke. In this movie Al Gore mainly focuses on temperatures that cause Global Warming. Al Gore makes a presentation in which he shows the effects on various mountains, glaciers, and melting of Ice caps. There was a drastic change in temperature during the last 14- 15 years as it was getting hotter due to global warming. This documentary mainly consists of multimedia presentation on climate change. Videos show how global warming has seriously affected the earth's structure. Polar Caps have started to melt and as a result, the sea level will rise drowning out most the cities near to it from parts of Asia, North America and Greenland. The predicted images were disturbing as most of the major cities including Manhattan would be under water.

This movie/documentary ends with words in the screen flashing to tell us how we can solve this climate crisis from everything to using renewable green energy to raising fuel economy standards. There is a lot that we can do by ourselves to raise awareness and to help fight this global crisis with everything from switching to alternate energy like solar, wind, to driving hybrid cars.
