Let's help our world

We have been supporting African people for more than 300 years. Not only are we working as a team, we are working with the whole world. Not many people are concerned about the needy, however small help from those who care can produce a huge impact to society. If we help other people, it is the same as helping ourselves insperationally and helping the needy in Africa because many commodities sold in today's markets are produced by the African women.

The JAY provides food, money and protection to women in the poor areas of Africa. All the help comes from normal people around the world. Some of the projects included making water pipes which provides endless water to needy comminities. The water goes through the entire village. "It's a fantastic thing really," said one of the villagers, Francois DePaul.

Another example is about a woman named Veronica who lived in a remote village in African. She had no access to education and was often abused by her father as a child. Because she was a female, she had no choice but to perform womenly duties like cooking cleaning and tending the fields. She had no ambition to leave her poverty stricken village for it was her duty to fit into the society that she lived in. If she were to deviate from the norm she was bound to face abuse and criticism. Upon her tragic death due to war, Veronica uttered some of her last words to her friend "My husband is dead and my child also. There is nothing left for me in this world"This shows the poverty and pain that many African women experience.

According to Hans Nilsson, on of the leaders of the JAY foundation mentions that "Throughout history, the African people have provided fantastic support through manufactured products to the people of Europe. This includes but it is not limited to virtually free supplies of gold, oil, and diamonds. Also, the sacrifice of the African people has always contributed to the comfortable living standards for us so we are more than pleased to continue this cooperation." However, even though they work hard, they don't gain much compensation to even provide for the most basic necessities. The most affected victims are African women. For example, Wanjiru Muigai from Kenya experienced hard life as a woman in Africa. "life was really hard" she states. She mentions that sub-saharan African women face barriers to the realisation of their rights. Especially those in the rural areas. Another problem that African women often face is emotional and physical abuse from their spouses and other male figures in their lives.

We have given a total of 80milion pounds which they have used for education and food. We have also provided skills training for women
