A Wonderful Day

It happened on a sunny day with a nice spring breeze. I was in California with my friends - Jane and Sherry on February 15, 2017. I went shopping in the Arcadia Mall, sang karaoke and ate food. Before that day, I was stay in Longview and I always felt bored. Before I explain what happened in California, I think it is important to understand my present living situation.

The life in Longview is quite boring. For example, the clothes are not in fashion although they are expensive. There are only three kinds food there: Mexican, American and Asian. However, their flavors are very similar. There are not many entertainment facilities here. Such as: karaoke, A big shopping mall, or an amusement park. The weather here is always rainy and cold. In contrast, the weather in California is warm and comfortable. So I was very excited about by trip in California. For the first time in severa 1 month I would be able to shop, explore and eat amazing cuisine.

In California, the clothes are very fashionable and diverse. The food comes from all over the world, and I ate hot-pot which reminded me of my hometown. I went to karaoke on that afternoon and I sang lots of songs. Many of the songs from China. In the evening, I felt very comfortable when the wind blowing on my face. The air was very warm and fresh which was very different from Longview. This new adventure refreshened by enyoyment of American life.

The experience increased my knowledge and broadened my horizon. The world itself is not boring, we just need to walk outside and discover new things. If I didn’t go to California, I wouldn’t know that American life is so colorful and interesting. In addition, I will try my best to find wonderful things to do in Longview and enjoy it instead of complaining about it. While I will continue to live in Longview while study, California is my dream place.

In order to live in my ideal city in California, I will try my best to obtain a high degree. That will open many work opportunities in my ideal city. Although, I am still unsure of my career direction, I have the courage to try new things. Instead of just stopping at same place and not trying new adventures. Other wise, I may miss the most beautiful scenery and life available in America.
