A soul is worth more than the e ntire world
Dear Achans, uncles, aunties, and friends
I am here to talk about a very important Bible verse. That Bible verse is : " For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own self? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?" as seen in Matthew 16:26. Which literally means " What good is it if you have all the riches but you lost everything you loved. This Bible verse is very important because it is true and it is common among the people among us. What shall a man give in exchange for his soul? Nothing, If once the soul is lost, it is lost for ever. There is no over-the-counter-price, that can be paid, or will be accepted. It is a loss that can never be repaired, never be retrieved. If, after that great price which Christ laid down to redeem our souls, and to restore us to the possession of them, they be so neglected for the world, that they come to be lost, there remains no more sacrifice for sins, nor price for souls. This is evident in the parable of the rich fool in Luke 12:13-21 Jesus was sitting then one from the crowd said to Him, "Teacher, tell my brother to divide the inheritance with me." But He said to him, "Man, who made Me a judge or an arbitrator over you? And He said to them, "Take heed and beware of covetousness, for one's life does not consist in the abundance of the things he possesses." Then He spoke a parable to them, saying: "The ground of a certain rich man yielded plentifully. "And he thought within himself, saying, 'What shall I do, since I have no room to store my crops?' "So he said, 'I will do this: I will pull down my barns and build greater, and there I will store all my crops and my goods. 'And I will say to my soul, "Soul, you have many goods laid up for many years; take your ease; eat, drink, and be merry." ' "But God said to him, 'Fool! This night your soul will be required of you; then whose will those things be which you have provided?' "So is he who lays up treasure for himself, is not rich toward God." The rich man had all the crops he will ever need but when he is gone no one will have it. He who is saved from his sin, and united to God, possesses the utmost felicity that the human soul can enjoy, either in this or the coming world. So do not take the world for granted do not try to achieve everything and forget about God and all the people who helped you achieve all of you're goals. Because what good is it if you have all the worlds riches but do not have happiness or having someone who cares for you to share it with.
