Business Administration

I did my research on Business Administration because I am interested in the field. I might major in this field when I attend college next year. If I decide to major in Business Administration, then I will take a variety of classes that may include projects, presentations, workshops, and even seminars featuring experts in the field. The skills that I need in this field are to be well organized, have planning and people skills, know how to analyze data, and leadership.

Business administration is simply managing the operations of a business, large or small. Business administration managers direct, coordinate and plan a variety of services that allow companies to operate in an efficient manner (Higher Salary). Business administration task is to manage the people and day to day operations to ensure the company or organization meets a set or series of targeted goals. A Business Administrator has to communicate many clients. Also, he/she needs to work with people inside and out of the company. Business administration managers may also supervise telecommunications management, security and transportation services for the organization (Higher Salary).

The skill that a business administrator needs to know is the basic skills business administrator should possess. The personal skill set should include at least the following characteristics to help ensure your business administration success: Good Commu-nication Skills, Details Oriented Flexible, Great Multi-Tasking, Leader and Innovative (Campus explorer). The personal skills also include planning, organizing, and people skills and be able to do anything within the field. Being able to work well within a team is an extremely valuable skill for those interested in succeeding in the world of business. Business administration classes and courses can help teach students how to work with other students to achieve a common goal. Also, they should have communicating skills and be a leader who is very important in the business administrator field.

The duties for business administration managers are likely to vary from company to company, depending on the size of the organization and the industry in which it works. Smaller companies may have only one business administration manager, which is called an office manager, while larger companies may have a team of business administration managers dividing the work load and specializing in different areas according to their level of expertise (Higher Salary).

Business administrators spend the majority of their days in an office environment, but may be required to make inspections around the building or grounds to supervise facilities that fall under their management duties (Higher Salary). Half of business administrators work a forty hour work week, while the other half works considerably longer hours. In many cases, uncompensated overtime is expected of the business administrator in order to ensure that deadlines are met.
