Trump's Immigration Ban in U.S
For the motion
“Make yourself a priority once in a while. It’s not selfish. It’s necessary”
POTUS Donald Trump issued an executive order on Jan. 27 temporarily blocking entry by citizens of seven muslim-majority countries and this is what he had promised all the citizens before getting elected as the 45th President of United States.
So it won’t be wrong to say that this is what the people of America wanted. Now the question to be asked is, why would people of America want such a broad sweeping ban like this? It is really difficult to understand on the surface why the people of America want this. But if you listen carefully you would understand that Americans want their country back, now what do you mean by that?
Over the years, America has gone through such rapid changes and America is changing so fast that for the American people, it doesn’t look like the America they are proud of or comfortable with.
They want a country where there are jobs for the American people. The employment rate of US has reduced drastically from 9.7% in Jan, 2010 to 4.6% in Nov, 2016. Whereas the GDP of US is increased consistently from $14.96 trillion in 2010 to $18.56 trillion in 2016. What does this signify? This is enough to justify how the people of America would be feeling. Their country is growing rapidly, it’s innovating new products, scaling new heights. But where are their people of this growing country? Are they growing with their country? The answer is No!
They also feel that they want their country to be safe and there is nothing wrong with that. They don’t want their brothers, sisters and family members to be killed by outsiders. All they want is a safe and secured country. When you find few rotten mangoes in a basket of fruits it is wise to get rid of the entire basket. They are not automatically racist because they say that they want to keep out terrorist, it’s totally understandable.
It’s not wrong to safeguard the interests of your people, because they come FIRST.
