Place & Promotion
Place refers by the book Basic Marketing as, "Making goods and services available in the right quantities and locations--when customers want them". For this reason place is synonymous to distribution because place is one of the main components of marketing mix that involves making those goods and services available. Distribution makes sure those products arrive and are available to the customer within a timely manner. As a result, logistics and the distribution channels are two processes that have an impact on whether the company can meet its obligations.
