Response #1: Creation
The creation of all mankind, every living creature, and the heavens in an overwhelming concept. The concept of speaking things into existence is more than my human mind can comprehend. The creation of man from the dust is simply amazing.
When I think of all the different creatures and plants in existence on this planet it is very overwhelming to think god created all of them in what is considered one day. If I were to try and name all the animals in existence it would be a never ending task. However, through god nothing is impossible; therefore creating the creatures in one day is just a small example of the power that god possesses.
God's consideration for mankind and the creatures is so amazing. He dedicates all seeding plants as food for mankind and all green plants for creatures. This shows his dedication to all of his creations. He wants his creations to thrive and multiply. This also demonstrates his consideration for the plants in that some plants in that some plants have been spearsed as food. This leads me to think that some of his creations were to be simple a work of beauty and not to be consumed.
The power to create something from his will is the most amazing concept. It is more than the average person can process. The words, "Let there be light," and there was light." Were the first Bible verses I learned. As a child it was hard to understand the concept of god speaking something existence. This is a concept that should be accepted for what is; and that is god's will.
Response #2: The Passover
The Passover verses are orders from God. These orders may not be understood by all of mankind but to my understanding these orders represent the respect god has for his creation as a sacrifice. The lamb was to be shared and not wasted. This leads me to believe god wanted his people to respect the creatures they used as food and did not want them to become glutinous during their Passover meal.
The year old lamb symbolized the first born and would serve as a sacrifice to god. This sacrifice would come to symbolize the grace of god's mercy. God's punishment of Pharaoh and Egypt would spill over onto the Israelites and god wanted to spear them his wrath. The Israelites obey god and this leads me to believe they wanted to be speared by his wrath. The lamb would serve as their first born as their sacrifice.
God's wrath at times was horrendous. He wanted to insure that the Israelites were speared when he condemned Pharaoh and Egypt. This leads me to believe god is very merciful. God wants his people to succeed but he also wants them to follow his laws. The Egyptians were not faithful to god's laws and therefore must be punished. God tried to show Egypt his power with the plagues but Egypt would not comply with god's will.
