To whom it may concern,
I bought my 9 year old sister a Kent Heartbreaker 20" Girls' Bike for her birthday about a month ago and the bike has been falling apart e ever since. I am very disappointed because I was told the bike would last years and would be a secure bike for my sister to learn how to ride.
The first problem with the bike was the brakes, which never worked to well in the first place. Next the chain protector fell off and chain has been constantly falling off since. At the point I cannot allow her to ride the bike anymore because it is so dangerous. If my sister had been jumping or riding in rough terrain with the bike I could understand how this might happen. But she is a 70 pound 9 year old who has taken the bike around the block a couple times and there is no reason for the damage that has been done to the bike.
After talking to Wal-Mart about the bike letting them know how disappointed I was with the bike they said I would need to contact this company. I pad $99.99 for the bike and expect a full refund for the bike considering it did not last longer than a month.
