I am studying an MBA and Im interested in Immelts GE's study case because I will see all the things he implemented and improved at GE, specially all the groups he formed on the field and inside the company. Also he pushed very hard through the internal savings joining some departments.

In February 2006 after four and a half years in the CEO he was finally poised for the double digit growth. Having just announced 11% increase in revenues in 2005 he was now forcasting a further 10% revenue increase in 2006. And following a 12% growth in earnings from continuing operations in 2005, he commited to leveraginig the 2006 revenues into an even grater 12 to 17%.

On friday september 7, 2001 Immelt took over the reins of GE from Jack Welch. four days later two planes crhasehd and the wolrd was thrown into turnmoil.

Afther the caos of the first few post 9-11 days during which he checked on GE casualities, authirized 10 millions donation to the families of rescue workers and dispached mobile generatorsw and medical equipment on the world trade center.
