Changes that impact the country's deficient and national debt
Although it is among many pressing issues under tight debate in the White House, the legalization of marijuana has helped America's deficient somewhat significantly. If the entire nation would adopt this into effect, the federal government could annually increase savings as much as over thirteen billion dollars per year. This includes over half of that amount being simply due to prohibition costs being at zero as opposed to over seven billion in prior enforcement laws on this product currently in effect. That’s not to mention the remaining six billion dollars in revenue projected from the taxation of marijuana. It would be very closely compared to current tobacco and alcohol taxation practices, it could almost guaranteed to return tons of revenue.
Comparatively, proven revenues from tobacco and alcohol exist, some negative results will always remain. Almost all economically successful businesses in this country today, even fast food, have a controversial side to them. This process will shown different with marijuana, and it is assumed that because of legal issues alcohol users are at a staggering 185 billion users; marijuana currently 14 billion, it would be safe to say if legalized marijuana could surpass alcohol users to record numbers. Just think of all the increased revenue this produces! Another very important contribution legalizing marijuana nationally is the major employment options that become readily available immediately. Therefore cutting down unemployment rates significantly and allowing more people to work and generate income paying taxes that directly contribute to inflation problems. Everyone wins with this scenario, government has a solid start at economic growth and people have better employment options and freedom to exercise their God given rights.
As you would find the Phillips Curve is a study of how inflationary and unemployment rates closely relate. Phillips found a very concise and pretty consistent inverse relationship between the two. When unemployment was high, wages slowly increased as well as vice versa. Of course, the “curve” in this would be the average relationship between the two in a given business cycle. Also, you will find analysis to provide specific distinction between both “short run” and “long run” curves as well.
Examples of why legalization of marijuana could decrease the entire country’s deficient would start with Colorado's recent tax revenue of over $699,000,000 in 2014. The projected amounts from January through June of 2015 is estimated at over $710,000,000 ending this fiscal year. In turn, the revenues are then the major contributor in bettering education and drug awareness for kids through out the state as a whole. Colorado has, in some individual’s opinions, created a bridge budget for its gap, and now has a GDP of 257.6 billion.
