Athlete's choosing between college and the pros.

In the past not a lot of players entered the draft right out of high school. If they did they enter the draft right out of high school they usually weren't all that successful. As an example, Reggie Harding the first player ever drafted straight out of high school didn't even play for the team who drafted him. He ended up re-entering the draft one year later. Drafting right out of high school is a growing trend. Between 1995 through 2000 12 high school athletes were drafted into the NBA. From 2001 to 2005 it has grown to 27 athletes drafted directly from high school.
Some of those athletes that were drafted directly from high school to play are some very commonly known basketball superstars. Two basketball superstars that went right from high school to the NBA are Kevin Garnett and Kobe Bryant. Both are still playing the National Basketball Association today; furthermore, their careers have worked out for them. But some athletes aren't as fortunate as them, like
