Ideas determine every aspect of society; they may fuel reformation, and reveal the inequities of the day. Ideals can give people the motivation and will to fight for a better society. These ideals were spread through books, pamphlets, treatises, and even theatrical plays that revealed concepts of a better constitution and revealed injustices. Most notably, are the ideas inflected during the enlightenment, which affected everyone in the world. The ideas of political, social, and economic revolution during the enlightenment affected social equality, democracy, human rights, constitutionalism, and even nationalism.

The ideas of John Locke, Rousseau, Voltaire, David Hume, and Adam Smith revolutionized the world. These philosophers' ideas fueled several revolutions, especially the American Revolution and the French Revolution. John Locke's belief of " - A State of Perfect Freedom to order their Actions, and dispose of their possessions, and persons as they think fit, within the bounds of the Law of Nature, without asking leave, or depending upon the Will of any other man."(Locke) gave the American revolutionist the idea for our constitution where men have the natural right to " life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness." Other Enlightenment thinkers such as Rousseau and Voltaire envisioned a world in which rationality transformed Western society into a liberal society. Their liberalistic ideas led to the first fruit of the struggle being the French Revolution, which overthrew the monarchy and eventually established a

As what occurred in the Hapsburg Empire, Hungary would not settle until they had Duel Monarchy with Austria; giving each nation a separate state, constitution, and Parliament.

The enlightenment ideas did not just affect social equality, democracy, human rights, constitutionalism, and nationalism it also impacted the sense of economy. A new group of economic theorists in the mid 18th century, led by David Hume and Adam Smith, challenged fundamental mercantilist doctrines as the belief that the amount of a nation's wealth remained constant and that a state could only increase its wealth at the expense of another state. Moreover, their grandest proposition was their concept of laissez-faire, when there isn't any government interference in trade, basically a free market system. Thus, this fueled the development of many political economies, especially capitalism.Their ideas would shape the productive economies formed in the 18th and 19th centuries.
